V15 Le Serre de la Garde - Cairanne

1. At the junction of the D8 and D51, route de Saint-Roman, take the allée des Travers.
2 At the traffic circle, continue towards Saint-Roman and pass the water tower.
3. Turn right onto the D51. After the left-hand bend, continue for 250m and turn right onto Chemin de la Montagne. Further up, at the crow's-foot, take the track opposite. After a flat spot, take the right-hand path up into the forest. At the track junction, turn right twice and head due south to the Amassat crossroads.
4. Turn left towards La Montagne.
5. On the plateau, leave the GR4 to the right towards Rasteau and continue off to the left. Keep heading north. Cross the fire road, continue for 150m and fork left on the faint track. Cross the fence and follow the path down into the valley. Reach the Travers-des-Vergers crossroads.
6. Continue downhill. At the bottom, turn right and reach the bend in the road.
7. Climb left along the botanical path for 500m to the summit of Serre de la Garde (cross, panoramic view over the Aygues valley).
8. Return to the road.
9. Return to the Travers-des-Vergers crossroads.
10. Follow the horizontal path. After 1.4km, turn left to reach the plateau de la Montagne.
11. Follow the track to the right as far as Col du Débat. Turn left onto the D51, then right into the undergrowth. Return to Cairanne.
12. Reach the church square. Turn right down the road and pass under the arch.
Follow the "calade du Sergent" around the Chapelle Notre-Dame-des-Excès to the traffic circle.
13. Reach the parking lot.
