Lambert Collection

The Lambert Collection in Avignon was created in 2000 by Yvon Lambert who wanted to display his personal collection of contemporary art to the public in the Hôtel de Caumont.

It assembles works from major artists such as Cy Twombly, Sol LeWitt, Donald Judd, Niele Toroni, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Anselm Kiefer,Christian Boltanski, Nan Goldin, Douglas Gordon and Jenny Holzer which are displayed throughout the year, alternating with, or included as part of the temporary exhibitions.

Children under 6 admitted free of charge.
Evening visits, guided tours and creative courses for children are organised throughout the year. Le Violette is the name of the new museum restaurant. The bookshop, which keeps museum opening hours, is a real cabinet of curiosities, with books about the current national and international art scene.
