Notre-Dame de Sénanque Abbey

In the same style as the Palace of the Popes in Avignon, visitors are provided with a Histopad (digital tablet) which will take you back in time to discover what life was like for monks at the Abbey in 1230.
The Histopad is available in 10 languages: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Chinese, Japanese, Polish, and Portuguese.

The community of monks offer a few guided tours each week (in French, 1 hour long, limited places) to show visitors round the 12th-century buildings, including the cloister, church, chapterhouse, dormitories, and calefactory (warming room).
Tours are of a religious nature, in line with the Monastery’s vocation as a place of prayer (appropriate dress, silence).
Visitors are welcome for pre-booked guided tours at fixed times, or unguided visits.
Free for children under 6.
