In the village centre, you will discover beautiful arched doorways and many old houses clustered around the 13th-century Notre Dame de Calvias Church. The interior is adorned with a gilded wooden altarpiece, decorated with six 18th-century statues by the Mazan sculptor, Jacques Bernus, depicting the scene of the presentation of the infant Jesus in the temple.
Three gates provided access to the old ramparts, of which one tower remains. The impressive 12th century "Porte de la République," crowned with a pediment added for the bicentenary of the Revolution, marks the main entrance to the village. On the square of the same name, a beautiful fountain with mascarons from 1787, listed as a Historic Monument, stands alongside a washhouse that is a decade older. At the Saint Félix Gate (13th century), you will find a second covered washhouse and its 19th-century fountain.
In the surrounding area, 21 bories can be seen on a circular family trail around La Gariguette (4.5km).
The village is renowned for its vineyards, olive groves, and cherry orchards.
A local “Agricultural and Cherry fair” is held each year on the last Sunday of June.
